2025-26 Leadership Team:
Ginger Kane – Executive Director
Prior to being named Executive Director, Ginger served as chair of the board of directors.She was a member of the board from 2015-2025 and on the executive committee since 2019. She also serves as president of TKO, a branding and design firm founded in 1992 and located in Orlando, FL. She is a past board member of Florida Citrus Sports and past president of Athlete Connections Foundation. She was the first female chair to lead the Florida Sports Hall of Fame.
Keyna Cory – Chair
Keyna Cory is President of Public Affairs Consultants. Keyna has been involved with sports her entire life. As a Junior Bowler, she was the Junior Orange Bowl Champion in 1972 and was a member of the University of Florida Bowling Team. Football has always been her passion and she was the first woman to be chair of the Carquest Bowl in 1995. Over the years, she has worked with the late Jim Brown and his Amer-I-Can program and currently works with the bowl games in Florida on marketing opportunities.
John Reger – Chair-elect
John has an extensive background in all areas of the golf industry. As a 42-year member of the PGA of America, John has fulfilled a variety of roles including golf professional, tournament announcer, golf course owner, association officer, tournament player, broadcaster, consultant, golf manufacturer, promoter, golf writer, golf course developer and student of the game.
John Kearney – Treasurer
A former CPA, John has owned, operated and been an officer of many companies throughout his career. He is currently Chairman, CEO of Advance raining Systems, a developer of simulators for driving and training on the simulators. He is also Chairman of KML Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing grants to youth seeking an education.
Nora Lee Smith – Secretary
Nora Lee Smith is an award-winning executive and event strategist with extensive experience in sports, hospitality, and brand leadership. She has led national partnerships and large-scale events for major sports organizations and global brands. Actively involved with the NFL Alumni Association Tampa Bay Chapter, ReliaQuest Bowl, Florida Sports Hall of Fame, and Legacy Member of The Krewe of Les Belles Femmes. Nora brings strategic vision, event expertise, and a strong commitment to preserving and advancing Florida’s sports legacy as a board member of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame.
Rick Hatcher – Immediate Past President
Rick is currently the Executive Director of the Treasure Coast Sports Commission in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He has more than 20 years’ experience in sports tourism and event management including Business Development Director for PSA Sports, Executive Director for two Sports Commissions and Sports Marketplace Coordinator for Connect Sports with Collinson Media and Events.
Timothy Ramsberger, Esq. – Past President
An attorney based in Tallahassee and St. Petersburg, Tim is an Adjunct Professor of Sports Law at Stetson College of Law, with over 30 years of sports management experience including the 1994 FIFA World Cup (Orlando), 1996 Atlanta Olympics, Disney/ESPN Wide World of Sports, IndyCar Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, Andretti Sports Marketing, St. Pete/Clearwater Sports Commission, 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, 2026 FIFA World Cup and LA28 Olympics.
Barry Smith – President Emeritus
Barry has been an instrumental player in the sports marketing, special events and promotions for nearly 30 years in the Tampa, Florida area through his company, Sports Time Productions. He served as president of the Florida Sports Hall of Fame during its pivotal tenure from 2015 – 2020. Football fans may remember the wide receiver from Florida State who was a first-round draft pick of the Green Bay Packers and also spent a year with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was inducted into the Florida Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
