Charles Casey was a football player for the University of Florida from 1963 to 1965. He recorded 1,612 receiving yards with 123 career receptions. Casey had 10 receptions in a game against N.C. State in his senior season in 1965. He represented the Gators in the Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL and the Coaches’ All-America Game that same season. Charles was named All-SEC First-Team in 1964 and 1965. He was the Forrest K. (Fergie) Ferguson Award which is given in memory of one of the all-time great athletes at Florida to the senior football player who displays outstanding leadership, character and courage.
Casey was a star in the classroom as well, earning All-SEC Honor Roll and All-America Academic Honor Roll honors in 1965.
