Herb Dudley (1919-2007) was a fast-pitch softball pitcher, who won more than 1,000 games in his career, which spanned from 1940 through 1981. A graduate of Stetson University, Dudley had a 28-9 Record in 16 ASA national championships appearances. He was a five-time ASA All-American and a two-time ASA Championship MVP. He also hurled an estimated 100 no-hitters during his fast-pitch softball career. Dudley played for several teams throughout his career including the Clearwater Bombers.

The Herb Dudley Outstanding Pitching Award is given annually to the ASA national tournament’s most outstanding pitcher. In addition to playing softball, Dudley taught at Clearwater High School for 30 years.
